Dogs Eat For Survival…?!!

Someone once made a comment..'dogs eat for survival'. They believe a dog will eat whatever you give them. They can't taste the difference.

Everyone see's things differently. What do you think? How does your dog react to different foods?

Here's what I believe & what I've witnessed over my lifetime of growing up with a family dogs. A dog that is family.

My first question is, don't we all eat basically to stay alive? For survival? Every animal? Wether you have 2, 4 or more legs!

Secondly, maybe my dogs have always been a little spoilt, but none of them scoffed down anything that was given to them.

Every dog in our family didn't like dry dog food and all of them preferred certain foods in their bowl to be separated. Raw proteins were always the favourite.

This tells me, dogs love good food! They appreciate real food with real protein. Tasty, good, wholesome food! And they deserve nothing less!

Balanced nutrious diet. That's the MOST important thing for every dog. Like us humans, balance is best. Restrictions cause imbalance. Dietary needs also change through growth. Pups to adult to senior as it does for us - babies to adult to senior.

Of course there are certain foods to keep away from your pooch. Onions, chilies, chocolate..especially dark chocolate! Curries and spicey foods.

In summary, know your dog, and listen to them! They'll tell you what they like. Make their food delicious! Change it up! Variety!

...because eating for survival should be delicious 😉😋🐾🐾
